Dating very intelligent woman
Almost 90% of those questions implied that if I didn't want to date a certain 'type', then I was wrong, superficial and selfish. I absolutely REFUSE to invest in a relationship that doesn't inspire me to be my best for someone else, and I have my specs fairly clear. If someone believes I'm just closed-minded and won't 'give it a chance', that's fine with me: better than leading on some nice man who could do better with a more compatible mate, or resigning myself to a life with a man who just doesn't make me feel like hugging him.we each have our own opinions :)Him: Any comment I made, ie.this is nice soup or I suipport pedophiles, she smiles sweetly, nod and not say anything. *yawn* Opps, better just plaster a smile on my face, in case it hurts his feelings...How can you have a meaningful conversation with someone who is not at your level?
It doesn't mean he's saying she is not a good person: just that he runs on a different speed, and would feel frustrated trying to constantly adjust to someone else's.
Hard to talk to a bag of rocks for long, been there tried that.
However religion and politics are not a good conversation topic, most of which they are opinions anyway, and have caused many an arguement.
I find it hard to fathom that two people who seem to enjoy each other's company could have nothing to talk about.
Most seem to have missed the OP's point entirely, focusing instead on the comparison they assume he is making of his intelligence vs hers, as if he is putting her down.
